My mission is to enhance the vision of media directors and to serve peoples’ stories through music. I also aim to spread enthusiasm and high-quality education about music so that all can find their inner creative voice.
My name is Jakub Lewkowicz and I am a music composer and piano performer who has also worked in the multimedia field.
My musical background during my undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University was as a piano performance major where I was awarded the Arthur S. Lambert Prize for excelling in the field. During my studies, I was also required to persistently study composition, music theory, and ear training, all of which immensely built up the toolset I needed to create music. My instrumental abilities extend to guitar, clarinet, and saxophone.
I fell in love with composing for media while I was working on my degree and was asked to score the soundtrack for a student thesis film. Since then, I have practiced the craft by entering film scoring competitions, creating new music in various genres, and teaching the music theory necessary for composition to students in addition to their instruments.
